Masked teens lured victim to car park and attacked him

Shaun Saunders Louis Mcanally

TWO masked teenagers stabbed and punched a man in a supermarket car park after luring him there to buy drugs.

Nottingham Crown Court heard how Louis Macanally and Shaun Saunders - whose 18th birthday was on the same day - were both under the influence of alcohol and nitrous oxide at the time.

They deliberately covered their faces in an attempt to avoid detection and "violence erupted" when the man they had arranged to meet did not have any money. One of them then pulled out the kitchen knife he had brought from his address and stuck it into the flank of the victim before they both fled.

In an impact statement, the attacked man told how the incident had "absolutely destroyed my life".

Sending them both to a young offender's institution for 32 months, Judge James Sampson said: "You are both culpable for what you did and you must both face the consequences of your actions. He agreed to buy class A drugs from you and you tried to deceive him by taking crushed paracetamol instead.
