Man in court charged with attempting to rape woman

A MAN has been charged with attempted rape after a woman was attacked in Mansfield.
-
The incident occurred in The Park at around 8am on Saturday, November 15.
A suspect was arrested a short time after, following a search of the area.
Gareth Havard, 38 and of Cosgrove Avenue, Sutton-in-Ashfield, has since been charged with attempted rape.
He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday and was remanded in police custody.
