MAGPIES AIMING TO GET BACK ON TRACK AGAINST HARROGATE TODAY

Nottingham Post

MARTIN Paterson is hoping Notts County can move on from their red card issue just as quickly as their latest defeat as they travel to face second-bottom Harrogate Town this afternoon (12.30pm).

- By SAM ALLEN

The Magpies were damaged by another red card for Oliver Norburn, his second in four games and the team’s fourth in their last nine outings, during Tuesday night’s away defeat against Oldham Athletic.

Looking back on that loss, Magpies head coach Patterson could pinpoint specific moments where the game got away from his side despite putting in a competitive performance when numbers were equal.

“It's not nice to be beaten, it hurts, and while we don’t enjoy it, it’s important for me and the players to feel it as a reminder of what this all means and why we work hard for the badge’ said Paterson.

“For the supporters who travelled on a wet and windy Tuesday evening to watch us, we didn’t get the job done, so we should feel the way we do.
