Liquidation move for mining equipment manufacturer after all jobs lost

AN update has been issued on the fate of a decades-old employer that made all of its workforce redundant and entered administration.

Manufacturer Dale (Mansfield) Limited, which operated from its factory off Rotherham Road in New Houghton on the Nottinghamshire/ Derbyshire border, appointed administrators in October last year.

All 34 employees of the business, established in the early 1970s, were made redundant after the mining equipment maker failed to find a purchaser or investor who could stave off its collapse.

Since they were appointed, administrators from Leonard Curtis have been selling off the business's assets, but they have now formally moved the entity into liquidation, taking it closer to its permanent end.
