It's the best day of the year, say traders

TRADERS at Sneinton Market have shared their “immense” excitement at the return of Nottinghamshire Pride.

Organisers moved the festivities to the market last year over concerns about overcrowding at its original Hockley site.

More than 10,000 people attended, and traders at the creative market couldn't be happier.

Artist Herbie Hare, who opened his gallery in the market in November 2023, said: “Pride is wicked and everybody is in such a happy mood - the atmosphere is brilliant.

“I make a lot more colourful and stripy stuff in the run-up to it and everyone I've spoken to can hardly wait.

“The great thing is people can come here and not worry about everything.”

Herbie’s sentiments were echoed by Dee Miller, who opened Minor Oak Coworking at the market in 2016.
