'Influx of drones' at prison is turning inmates into addicts

A “STAGGERING” number of men are developing a drug addiction at a Nottinghamshire prison as drones drop off contraband.

A quarter of the men at the category C Ranby Prison, near Retford, say they have developed a drug or alcohol problem whilst at the facility and government inspectors say the level of substance abuse needs to be tackled as an urgent priority.

An official report from the Inspectorate of Prisons has just been published, detailing the results of an unannounced inspection which found many of the site's 1,000 inmates had a "depressing existence" at Ranby.
