REFORM SUPPORTER SAYS SHE FEELS UNSAFE BECAUSE OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION

- By LOUIS CORBETT

'I'm not far-right - I care about this country' says woman turned away from pub for wearing a Union Jack dress during protest

A WEEKEND of civil unrest in a Nottinghamshire town is finally over.

But one of the protesters, Tanya Ostolski - who went “viral” for being refused entry to a pub because she was wearing a Union Jack dress - fears that she may now never be able to return to her favourite local.

The Reform supporter spoke about why she is backing the emerging right-wing party and the backlash she got after appearing in national newspapers.

Tanya's concerns with illegal immigration stem not from a disagreement with Labour or Conservative policy but from a feeling one shared by the dozen or so people the Post spoke with on Friday night - that the UK isn’t safe any more and that public services are failing everyday people.

They said they weren’t inherently political, and weren't interested in specific policies or how these would play out once implemented. Most claimed they supported Reform, which came as no surprise, as the protest was in the heart of controversial Reform MP Lee Anderson's constituency.

Tanya, 54, of Sutton-in-Ashfield, said she now feared being banned from her Wetherspoon local, The Picture House.
