'He was screaming and bleeding, in a lot of pain'

PARK VISITORS DESCRIBE ‘FRIGHTENING’ DOG ATTACK ORDEAL

WALKERS have described the moment a man screamed in pain when the dog he was walking bit and latched onto his arm in a park.

Several police vans and an ambulance were called to Woodthorpe Park on Sunday afternoon after reports of the attack by what is believed to be a Belgian Malinois

Visitors to the park at the time said the dog ran around for almost an hour before officers seized it.

Nottinghamshire Police said the pet is now being cared for in a secure location and confirmed no arrests have been made.

Carolyn Luckhurst, who was walking with a group of friends and their dogs, said the attack happened on the field outside the house at the top of the park at around 2pm.
