Gusto takeover means six restaurants will close

A POPULAR Italian restaurant chain with a flagship site in Nottingham is set to shut branches as part of an acquisition deal.

Gusto Italian has confirmed it will close six of its 13 UK sites, resulting in more than 100 redundancies.
The news comes after reports that the chain was on the verge of collapse and likely to be sold through an insolvency agreement.
It has now been confirmed that Cherry Equity Partners will acquire most of Gusto, forcing six branches to close. It is not yet known which they will be.
