Family is warning of scammers cashing in on Tim's memory

THE family of Nottingham's official Robin Hood have warned against scammers posing as donation points after his funeral.

Relatives of Tim Pollard have hit out at a number of “opportunistic individuals” trying to profit off the back of the beloved figure’s death.

Tim had played the legendary outlaw for more than 30 years and was a familiar face at events, beer festivals and Nottingham Castle. At the end of June, his family announced he had died aged 61 following a “short, brave” battle with cancer.

Tributes poured in from across the city as friends, family and residents mourned the death of our Robin Hood. It is understood that he was laid to rest at a private funeral on Wednesday, July 30, with the family accepting donations prior to this point via an online fundraising page.
