E-scooters return next week after long lay-off

DUTCH FIRM HAS TAKEN OVER TRIAL

E-SCOOTERS will be back on Nottingham's streets next week as an official trial of the vehicles returns to the city.

Nottingham City Council has confirmed its e-scooter trial will resume on Wednesday.

E-scooters were introduced in November 2020 as part of a Department for Transport trial which involves users hiring the vehicles and riding them within the city boundary, though it is illegal to use them on pavements and only those hired through the company managing the trial can be used.
