FINES AND BANS FOR 'SMALL MINORITY' WHO BREAK LIME'S HIRE RULES
THE operator of Nottingham's e-bike scheme says it continues to clamp down on the "small minority" of people not using the cycles responsibly as repeat offenders are again warned they could be banned.
In recent weeks, several Lime bikes have been dumped in the River Leen in Bulwell and a "no go zone" for e-bikes has been introduced in a Nottingham bus station.
Nottingham City Council's leader, Neghat Khan, was asked about the issues during a council meeting on Monday and said Lime had introduced a mandatory parking scheme to address issues. But Lime has now confirmed it introduced the scheme two years ago when their e-bikes first came to Nottingham.
