Dream comes true for Ulfat as she opens her own cafe

WEST Bridgford's newest café comes with a warning: our cakes may cause extreme happiness.

Opening Crumbs & Frost has been a dream come true for baker Ulfat Rizvi, who has been creative in the kitchen since childhood.

The 26-year-old has taken over the former White Rabbit Teahouse in the town. Even though there's a new name, the decor hasn't changed to keep it familiar for the regulars.

Ulfat said: “People are so used to this place so I didn’t want to take the focus from how it was before. I might gradually change to a cake shop but at the moment I didn’t want to take that away.”

Customers can start the day with a full English, omelettes, scrambled eggs and avocado toast. Light lunches including sandwiches, quiche and toasties are also served.
