HE IS FINED £130 AFTER INCIDENTS IN TWO VILLAGE STREETS
THE deputy leader of Ashfield District Council has been fined after admitting being the owner of dogs which were dangerously out of control.
Tom Hollis, a member of the Ashfield Independents, pleaded guilty to all of the charges he faced when he appeared at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court this week.
The 32-year-old councillor, of Yew Tree Drive, in Huthwaite, admitted three counts of the charge which all related to incidents in Sudbury Drive and Kedlestone Close in the village on December 12 last year.
They involved two rottweilers, a spaniel cross and an unknown breed, although no injuries were caused to anyone.
The defendant, whose party has control of the district council and who until May sat as a councillor on Nottinghamshire County Council, also pleaded guilty to a fourth charge of obstructing a police officer at his home address on January 9 this year.
He was fined £130 for the offences, a spokesman for His Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service confirmed to the Post.
