Delusional stalker thought his victim felt same way about him

A STALKER with “an ongoing fixation” on a Nottingham woman twice turned up at her workplace shortly after being released from prison.

Scott Walters constantly interrupted his sentencing with outbursts and bad language from the dock as he was sent back to jail for his offending.

Nottingham Crown Court heard how the 52-year-old has been assessed as possibly suffering from erotomania, which is characterised by an individual's delusions of another person being infatuated with them.

Jailing him for three years, Judge James Sampson said of the victim, whose identity is protected: “She is now reliving a nightmare, forever looking over her shoulder fearful you may be in the background or, even worse, the foreground. I have read your pre-sentence report which concludes you pose a real risk to women.
