Day of action catches out more than 30 Blue Badge abusers

NOTTINGHAM parking wardens issued more than 30 fines and seized a vehicle after carrying out 300 Blue Badge checks in just one day.

Data revealed that 681 cases of misuse of a Blue Badge for disabled parking were recorded in Nottingham during 2024/25.

The 300 checks were carried out on National Blue Badge Action Day on Friday, May 30. Over the course of the day, the checks identified:

■ Six non-valid or expired blue badges, which were confiscated;

■ Six penalty charge notices (PCN) issued for misuse;
