County's new leader 'doesn't see a problem' flying Pride flag

NOTTINGHAMSHIRE County Council's new Reform UK leader says he does not “see a problem" with flying the Pride flag outside his authority's HQ on certain occasions.

Reform’s sweeping victories in local elections across the country on May 1 saw the party's national chairman, Zia Yusuf, declare: "Reform-controlled English councils will move at speed to resolve that the only flags permitted to be flown on or in its buildings will be the Union Jack and the St George's flag.

“No other flags will be permitted to be flown on its flag-poles, balconies, reception desks or council chamber walls.” Reform later clarified the only other flags it would allow would be historic county flags.
