Council staff were 'in tears' after news of regime change

AN outgoing Nottinghamshire county councillor claims some staff on the authority were “in tears” after finding out that Reform UK were taking over.

Nottinghamshire County Council has never been run by any party apart from the Conservatives or Labour.
The new Reform councillors were congratulated by Adrian Smith, Nottinghamshire County Council's chief executive. The council's boss said at the end of the results declaration on Friday: “To all the new members who have been elected, I offer my congratulations and look forward to working with you all.”
But Jason Zadrozny, unseated by Reform as an Ashfield Independent councillor after serving on the county council for nearly 20 years, claims some staff were terrified by the prospect of Reform taking over.
