Boat club backs stadium expansion - despite demolitions

A HISTORIC rowing club is “fully supportive” of the latest City Ground expansion plans - even though two of its buildings will now have to be demolished.

The Britannia Boathouse building was already set to be knocked down under Nottingham Forest's previous plans, but the latest proposals will see another Nottingham Rowing Club site having to be demolished.
But Forest have pledged to offer support for relocation and the rowing club says it will continue to work with the Reds on a “complex situation”.
Forest's original plans, unveiled in 2019, entailed the demolition of the Britannia Boathouse building to make way for a public plaza in front of a rebuilt Peter Taylor Stand.
