Farm project given £19k to help youngsters' resilience

A COMMUNITY farm project in North Devon has been given £19,435 to expand mental health support to young people.

Apple Tree Farm Services CIC in North Devon has been given £19,435 from The National Lottery Community Fund for its Roots to Resilience Project
Apple Tree Farm Services CIC, was given the funding by the The National Lottery Community Fund to launch its new Roots to Resilience counselling project.
The funding will support the delivery of accessible early-intervention mental health support for young people aged over 14, families, and staff connected to Apple Tree Farm.
The project will run at the farm’s therapeutic setting in High Bickington from September to August next year.
The Roots to Resilience project will provide one-to-one counselling sessions delivered by a qualified counsellor within a safe, farm-based environment.
