(RNS, 21-06-25) US President Donald Trump on Saturday lamented that he won't get a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts at mediation in different conflicts across the globe, including the India-Pakistan conflict after the Pahalgam terror attack.
-
In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump said, "I won't get a Nobel Peace Prize, no matter what I do." He also repeated that he helped stop a war between India and Pakistan, a claim denied by New Delhi.
The US president started the post by announcing that he, along with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, has arranged a "wonderful" treaty between Congo and Rwanda, in their war, which was known for violent bloodshed and death, more so even than most other Wars, and has gone on for decades."
