s, mining organizations are sensitized to the usage of pronouns and the importance of inclusive language, says Madhu Srivatsa, Vedanta Ltd. Sensitization drives awareness among employees, business partners, investors, and members of the community within which the organization operates, aiming to educate the audience on the company’s key policies and financial incentives.

The education aims to create a fulfilling career, and to provide job security and support for individuals. Many feel seen and supported in their roles, and feel that they have a mentor and guide to help them improve their performance.

ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT

While these examples show progress in more holistic inclusion at the workplace, several organizations are only skimming the surface. There is more investment in sensitization training, but often with a one-size-fits-all approach.
