Infosys caught red-handed, Cognizant tells US court

Cognizant Technology Solutions has alleged that Infosys Ltd was "caught red-handed" stealing the trade secrets of its healthcare software TriZetto, upping the ante against India's No. 2 IT services firm in a US lawsuit.
Cognizant's reply, made in a Dallas court filing on 7 February, comes a little more than a month after Infosys countersued Cognizant, stating its chief executive officer Ravi Kumar S. had delayed the rollout of Infosys's own healthcare software product while he was a president at Infosys and negotiating for a job with Cognizant.
Infosys veteran Ravi Kumar had quit in October 2022, and joined Cognizant as CEO in January 2023. The dispute flared in August 2024 when Cognizant alleged that Infosys had stolen its trade secrets from TriZetto. Infosys rejected the allegation in a 9 January filing, adding information about Cognizant's healthcare solutions were public. It has also asked the Dallas court to compel Cognizant to properly identify the trade secrets in question.
In its court response, Cognizant said, "Infosys was caught red-handed misappropriating TriZetto trade secrets that Infosys originally had access to through non-disclosure and Cognizant's reply.

Investors expect AI use to soar. That's not happening
An uncertain outlook for interest rates. Businesses may be holding off on investment until the fog clears. In addition, history suggests that technology tends to spread in fits and starts. Consider use of the computer within American households, where the speed of adoption slowed in the late 1980s. This was a mere blip before the 1990s, when they invaded American homes.

Can I claim TDS refund despite missing return filing deadline?
I am an NRI living in Dubai and have investments in Indian listed stocks. One of the companies I invested in, did a buyback in March, on which Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) was deducted. At that time, I was advised by a friend that I could claim a refund of TDS at the time of filing my tax return due to the benefits of the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA).
