Bridgestone Sues Go First Over Leased Tyres

Bridgestone's Thailand arm has moved NCLT to recover 1,400 leased tyres, saying they aren't liquidation assets

Bankrupt airline Go First is facing a lawsuit over 1,400 tires leased from Japanese company Bridgestone, priced at $200-700 per tire per month. Bridgestone is now seeking their return.

Its subsidiary, Bridgestone Aircraft Tire Manufacturing (Thailand) Co., petitioned the Delhi bench of National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), arguing the tires were leased—not sold—and thus should not be part of the airline's liquidation assets.
