Renee Cosmetics' Ashutosh Valani on the trick to get more work done
Over five years ago, Ashutosh Valani found himself in a strange predicament. When he tried to find a grooming product for his beard, he realized there weren't ample options available in the market.
That experience encouraged him to launch Beardo, a brand dedicated to beard-care products, which was eventually acquired by Marico. By 2020, Valani entered the makeup and skincare market with Renee Cosmetics. "Beardo's experience gave us a good pulse on the beauty market and we went deeper by speaking to consumers, distributors and analysing data to understand what women really wanted," says Ahmedabad-based Valani, 38, who founded Renee Cosmetics with his college friends, Aashka Goradia Goble and Priyank Shah.
