No cheer
Colgate Palmolive (India) Ltd's shares plunged to a new 52-week low of ₹2,271 apiece on Wednesday after analysts slashed earnings estimates following miserable June quarter results (QIFY26) and dull near-term prospects.
So what is the oral care company's problem? The base is high, especially after a strong show in the first half of FY25 when total operating revenue growth was 11.5% year-on-year. While this was expected to cap growth this year, the 4% drop in Q1 revenue to ₹1,434 crore is worse than anticipated. In QIFY25, revenue growth was 13%.
