Modi Accuses Congress of Appeasement Politics, Defends BJP's Governance

Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a robust critique of the Congress party during the Motion of Thanks to the President's address in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday, emphasising the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) governance principle of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' (Together with All, Development for All).

In a wide-ranging speech, Modi challenged the Congress party's political approach, arguing that the party had historically prioritised "family first" and practiced divisive politics through selective appeasement.

"For five to six decades, there was no alternative model for the people," Modi stated. "After 2014, the country got to witness a new model, which is not based on appeasement but 'santushtikaran' (satisfaction of all)." The Prime Minister accused the Congress of systematically marginalising certain groups while providing false hopes during elections.
