Key operator in nationwide cyber fraud ring held

The Delhi Police's Cyber Cell has arrested one of the key operators in a widespread fraud network responsible for deceiving individuals across India out of large sums of money.

The police were informed about the fraud through a complaint registered at the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.
The accused was identified as Chetan Naidu son of Venkatesh Naidu resident of Umar Mansion, MS Ali Road, Grant East Road, Mumbai.
According to the police, his arrest follows the earlier detention of two other suspects, Mohamad Ali and Deepu P, both of whom were apprehended in Bangalore on August 8. The investigation began on February 21, 2024, when a complaint was lodged on the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP).
