TNT guns for 3-0 lead; Ginebra-SMB to break tie
Manila Bulletin
|June 29, 2025
TNT is enjoying a 2-0 lead but coach Chot Reyes is determined to guard his wards against complacency when his team tries to pin Rain or Shine on the ropes in Game 3 of their best-of-seven semifinals series in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Araneta Coliseum, Sunday, June 29.
The Tropang 5G is coming off an epic come-from-behind 113-105 overtime win over the Elasto Painters — a victory that not only gave the team a comfortable series lead but also all the momentum heading into the crucial contest at 5 p.m.
Quickly following suit in the second game at 7:30 p.m. is the clash between San Miguel and Ginebra — two teams raring to break a 1-all deadlock in their own race-to-four affair.
But while TNT came through in the extra period in Game 2, Reyes stressed his team cannot commit the same mistake in Game 3 when the Tropang 5G seemingly relaxed a bit when it built a double-digit spread early in the final frame.
