"Ligtas at buhay po ang bata. Sa katunayan ay nakalabas na siya ng ospital bandang 9:00pm kahapon (The child is safe and alive. In fact, she was released from the hospital around 9:00pm yesterday)," the Muntinlupa City government announced on May 5.

The teenager, who is reportedly a 16-year-old and a resident of Muntinlupa, became a victim of fake news when a netizen uploaded a video on Facebook stating that she died at Ospital ng Muntinlupa.

A video spread on social media on May 4 showing a father carrying her daughter in front of Osmun.
