Solar powered water system, over 4,000 other infra projects under construction across PH

A total of 4,236 infrastructure projects are now being carried out at the grassroots level under the “Local Government Support Fund (LGSF)” in a bid to provide responsive governance in the communities nationwide, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said.
The LGSF is a national government subsidy to local government units (LGUs) for critical infrastructure that supports basic services such as roads, water systems, health stations, and school buildings.
The DILG explained that the program empowers the LGUs, especially the barangays, to identify and implement projects based on local priorities.
“These include solar-powered water systems, local access roads, drainage systems, and multipurpose buildings, all implemented in partnership with national, regional, and municipal counterparts,” the DILG noted.
