SM Investments Corp. (SMIC), the flagship of the Sy family, has been named by Hong Kong-based publication FinanceAsia as the best large company in the Philippines, based on its highly anticipated Best Companies Poll 2025.
The conglomerate, which marked its 20th listing anniversary on the Philippine Stock Exchange on March 24, 2025, grew its market capitalization by 770 percent to P1.1 trillion by end-2024, up from P127 billion at the end of 2005, the year it was listed.
Nominated by Asia’s active community of influential investors and financial analysts, Asia’s Best Companies Poll evaluates the corporate behavior and performance of Asian companies over the past 12 months.
