Retired PAF general arrested over inciting to sedition case

Police arrested a retired military general who is facing charges of inciting to sedition for allegedly encouraging active soldiers to withdraw support from President Marcos amid the allegations of widespread corruption, particularly on flood control.
Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nar-tatez Jr., acting chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), said retired Philippine Air Force Maj. Gen. Romeo Poquiz was arrested on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by the Quezon City Regional Trial Court, Branch 77, for a case of inciting to sedition.
“A case had been referred against him for inciting to sedition and an arrest warrant was issued against him on Dec. 5, so we implemented it," said Nartatez in a press briefing at Camp Crame.
