PH, US armed forces flex interoperability prowess

Filipino and American soldiers flexed their muscles anew in terms of interoperability in maritime operations in the recent military exercises in the West Philippine Sea.
Col. Xerxes Trinidad, chief information officer of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), said conduct of the 9th Bilateral Maritime Cooperative Activity (MCA) between the Philippine military and the United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) is part of the commitment to maintaining stability, security, and the rules-based international order in the Indo-Pacific region.
The military exercises were held from Dec. 9 to 10 within the country's Exclusive Economic Zone in the West Philippine Sea.
