People driving HSBC Philippines for 150 years and beyond

In a constantly evolving financial landscape, the strength of an organization lies not just in its systems or strategies—but in the people who shape its purpose and progress
-
In today's rapidly shifting financial services landscape, organizational resilience depends not only on strategy and innovation—but also on people. At HSBC Philippines, this belief is more than cultural; it's operational. The bank's long-term success has been built on individuals who lead by example, perform at the highest levels, and earn the respect of peers across departments.
Unlike traditional spotlights that focus solely on tenure, HSBC's approach highlights individuals whose value is seen not just in how long they've stayed—but in how consistently they've grown, contributed, and lived the values that define the HSBC brand.
Growing with the Bank—and growing others along the way
Rossana Yu just graduated from university when she joined HSBC on an entry-level position and was eager to start earning her own income. "I came with an open mind, with no expectations or demands," she says. Twenty-five years hence, she has moved roles across corporate and retail banking roles and is now AVP—Wealth Relationship Manager, relishing her customer-facing role, dealing with various clients from all parts of the world and all walks of life.
Minuch Anson first gravitated toward HSBC because of its strong brand. What kept her there, however, was the challenge and inspiration she found in the people around her. From feeling intimidated early on to eventually becoming Director for Institutional Sales, Markets and Securities Services, Minuch credits her growth to a culture that values strategic thinking, encourages collaborative spirit and knows how to get things done.
Kris Milan came from a more relaxed work environment before joining HSBC, where he found the structure and challenge he was looking for. Over 19 years, he's moved across six departments and now serves as VP for Business Management, Strategy, and Planning where he continues to thrive thanks to the opportunities in a place that keeps pushing him to learn.
