Pag-asa Island runway upgrade completed - AFP

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) said the extension of the runway on Pag-asa (Thitu) Island in the West Philippine Sea (WPS) has already been completed.
“Our runway is 100 percent complete already. Now we are just finishing the ancillaries around it and we are aiming to complete it within the year,” AFP spokesperson Col. Francel Margareth Padilla said.
The AFP conducted a maritime domain awareness flight (MDA) in the WPS and checked infrastructure developments on Pag-asa Island on Tuesday, June 3.
