NHCP to lead 127th Independence Day celebration at Rizal Park

The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) will lead the 127th anniversary celebration of Philippine Independence and Nationhood on June 12, 2025, at the Rizal Park in Luneta, with the theme "Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan (Freedom, Future, History).

The program will begin at 7 a.m. with a flag-raising ceremony led by President Marcos at the Independence Flagpole near the Rizal National Monument.

This will be followed by wreath-laying rites, where the President will be joined by NHCP Chairperson Regalado Trota Jose Jr. and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner Jr. The AFP will also provide arrival and departure honors.
