Nartatez orders in-depth probe of NIA whistleblower's murder

The Philippine National Police (PNP) is conducting a thorough investigation into the killing of a former legal researcher of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) in Region 10 who had exposed anomalies in the agency before he was gunned down in Cagayan de Oro City on Oct. 10.
Acting PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. assured the family and friends of victim Niruh Kyle Antatico that police will focus on the case to identify and arrest those responsible in the soonest possible time.
"The PNP strongly condemns this act of violence. We assure the family of the victim and the public that we will focus on this case to identify and arrest all those behind this senseless killing," said Nartatez.
