My favorite Filipino creators

Manila Bulletin

|

November 22, 2025

I haven’t checked how they fare against one another and visa-vis their counterparts from elsewhere, because I’m not after those metrics. Today I just want to pay tribute to Filipino creators who have caught my attention, made me laugh, and also easily made me think.

- TONYO CRUZ

They’re on TitTok, Instagram, and Facebook. Some of them considered veterans and stars in their own right, with companies and brands vying for their attention. Others are just starting.

There’s Malupiton and his barkada. He has gone on to television and soon in the movies.

Jeysi and the Batumbakal chronicles in class.

Davao Conyo, the king and queen of invention and reinvention rolled into one. Many admire him for his creative stories and executions, including those with product placements.

MacoyDubs is multi-hyphenated. One day, a tita. Another day, podcasting with fellow diva Baus Rufo. On yet another day, speaking in a United Nations event. Also into cars, not just the obvious favorite Honda.

The many adventures of Cartz Udal and boys in the neighborhood.

The saga of Chennyboi’s many birthday celebrations, and epic battles with the mother slash landlady.

Poca’s life as a “‘trentahin.”

Fonzi’s many plot twists.

Melo Aguilar’s search for love.

How to describe Zeke Abella? Just watch him.

Daniel Nico Laudit as immigration officer.

Ghon’s many “Kuya” stories.

BAETT’s many lives as favorite neighbor or as a tikbalang.

Kevin Vinzon’s life as “pogi” husband to Angeralyn Vinzon.

Do you also like “panginoon ng kababawan”?
