Most Filipinos say quality of life remains unchanged

Most Filipino adults said their quality of life remained the same over the past year, based on the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey conducted from Sept. 24 to 30.

The poll, which surveyed 1,800 adult Filipinos nationwide, showed 38 percent reporting no change in their quality of life, 32 percent saying it worsened, and 30 percent saying it improved.

This resulted in anet gainers score of —2, which SWS classifies as “fair.”

SWS explained that the latest net gainers score is 14 points below the “high” +12.in June 2025, and the lowest since the “fair” -2 in September 2023

The net gainers score is calculated by subtracting the percentage of respondents who said their quality of life got worse (“losers”) from those who said it improved (“gainers”).
