Mayor Isko raises alarm over worsening mental health of young Manileños

Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso raised alarm over the worsening mental health of young Manileños and reminded the public to always be kind to others on Wednesday, Nov. 19.
Domagoso made the appeal following the incident of a man who was about to jump from a building in Sampaloc, Manila earlier on Wednesday.
The authorities were able to prevent the man from jumping and successfully rescued him from the ledge.
The mayor said the city government and the national government continue to implement programs to help those suffering from mental illnesses to overcome their situation, including the creation of the National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) Crisis Hotline for immediate aid and support (1553 or 1800-1888-1553).
