July 23 2025

President Marcos met with top executives of investment firms in the United States in a bid to secure investments for the country.

- BY BETHEENA UNITE and RAYMUND ANTONIO

Malacañang said Marcos held a meeting with executives of investment companies Cerberus, I Squared, and KKR & Co., Inc. in Washington, D.C. on July 22 (Manila time).

Founded in 1992, Cerberus serves as an established alternative investment advisor with approximately $65 billion in assets across complementary credit, private equity and real estate platforms.

I Squared is an independent global infrastructure investor founded in 2012. It is known for the development of investment platforms in infrastructure, using global insights and local intelligence to solve complex problems, foster smarter businesses, serve local communities, and invest in a more sustainable future.

KKR & Co., Inc. is another global investment firm investing across private markets in every asset class all over the world.

The President also met with business leaders in the US during a working lunch.

He engaged in a discussion with John Starcher, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Bon Secours Mercy Health.

Bon Secours Mercy Health is long renowned for providing compassionate, high-value health care through its hospitals and clinical sites in the US and Ireland. The ministry actively extends health care access, enhances outcomes and drives value through emerging technologies, investments and partnerships across its areas of focus.

To date, Bon Secours Mercy Health is the fifth largest Catholic health system in the US and the largest nonprofit private provider in Ireland.
