Gil Umali takes over as Nueva Ecija gov

Nueva Ecija Vice Gov. Gil Raymond Umali took over the leadership of the province in what the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) described as smooth and proper observance of succession rules.

In a statement, the DILG said the assumption of Umali as governor of Nueva Ecija is to ensure uninterrupted delivery of public service in the province following the suspension of his older brother, Aurelio “Oyie” Umali.
