Expanded Philippine Science High Act OK'd

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has signed a law that aims to establish more Philippine Science high schools and increase the number of students pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) careers.
On Oct. 3, Marcos signed Republic Act (RA) No. 12310 or the Expanded Philippine Science High School (PSHS) System Act, further strengthening the governance and management of the country's premier secondary science learning institution.
The new law provides for the establishment of additional PSHS campuses across the country to offer scholarshipbased secondary education programs with special emphasis on STEM for students with exceptional aptitude in science and mathematics.
