DPWH opens temporary route in Bukidnon, speeds up road restoration
Manila Bulletin
|November 23, 2025
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has opened a temporary access road and stairway in the landslide-hit section of the Bukidnon-Davao Road in Quezon, Bukidnon, to provide motorists and residents limited passage as full restoration work continues.
DPWH said its engineers are completing surveys, measurements, and other pre-construction activities to determine the safest permanent solution for the collapsed portion of the highway.
The section gave way during the Oct. 18 landslide that buried a bao-bao or tricab and left a couple dead after five days of search operations.
