DPWH engineers link Estrada, Villanueva to flood control mess

Former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) assistant engineer Brice Ericson Hernandez implicated Senators Jinggoy Estrada and Joel Villanueva in alleged anomalous flood control projects when he testified at the continuation of the House Infrastructure Committee (infra comm) inquiry on Tuesday, Sept. 9.

Senators Estrada and Villan-ueva, however, vehemently denied Hernandez's allegations.

A day earlier, Hernandez was cited in contempt by the Senate Ribbon Committee and slapped with a detention order during a probe on a similar topic.

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon on Tuesday, Sept. 9, confirmed that another project engineer will be dismissed for alleged involvement in three defective flood control projects in Bulacan worth a combined P247 million.
