DOTr offers '12 Days of Christmas' free rides on MRT-3, LRT lines

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) is offering free rides on the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) Lines 1 and 2 to various sectors as part of its efforts to ease commuting during the holiday rush.
Acting Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez announced that the DOTr will launch the “12 Days of Christmas” free-ride program on Dec. 14 and will run through Dec. 25.
During the 12-day free-ride program, each day is dedicated to a specific sector:
Dec. 14 Dec. 15 senior citizens students
Dec. 16 - overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families
Dec. 17-teachers and healthcare workers
Dec. 18 - persons with disabilities (PWDs) and male passengers
Dec. 19 - government employees
Dec. 20 - female passengers Dec. 21 families
