DOT ensures safe travel for over 30 M tourists during Holy Week

The Department of Tourism (DOT) has mobilized its regional operations centers nationwide to ensure the safe, smooth, and seamless travel of more than 30 million domestic and international tourists during the Holy Week break.

DOT Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco said the centers are monitoring key destinations, facilitating inter-agency coordination, and supporting secure and efficient visitor experi-ences across the country.

“Overall, we are delighted to note that Filipinos are actively travel-ing within the country, and our international tourists are enjoying experiential—meaningful and en-riching—experiences,” Frasco said in an interview at the Ninoy Aquino In-ternational Airport (NAIA) on Apr. 10.

She likewise reminded travelers to patronize only DOT-accredited establishments, which guarantee quality service, safety, and protection from scams.
