BSP: Digital payments soar 51% to P2T in June

Digital payment transactions via PESONet and InstaPay increased by 51.5 percent to P2 trillion in June this year, from P1.32 trillion in the same month last year, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) reported.

This represents a P680-billion increase from June 2024, according to the BSP data. Similarly, June transactions coursed through the two automated clearing houses increased by one percent from the previous month's P1.98 trillion The value of PESONet transactions climbed by 46.3 percent annually to P1.08 trillion in June, from P738 billion a year earlier. It also increased by 2.9 percent from the P1.05 trillion posted a month earlier.
