Blast rocks Tondo after New Year countdown

A strong explosion rocked Barangay 227, Zone 21, Tondo, Manila, just minutes after the New Year countdown on Thursday, Jan. 1.
The blast was heard at around 12:10 a.m., startling residents who were still welcoming the New Year.
At least three houses were affected by the incident and temporarily lost electricity. Several properties were also damaged, including a tricycle, a motorcycle, and house windows.
